Blogging is the professional, made personal. But, it was only after blogging for a decade that I saw how it could make the personal, professional. That year, my daughter was born brain-damaged. Because I’d already shaped my wedding blog into a published novel and written for the Political Blog of The Detroit News for four years, blogging about her – my questions, concerns and successes – seemed natural. My blog evolved into a resource for parents around the world, and a platform to campaign for local and national provisions for disabled children. I’m proud of this and the opportunity to share what I’ve learned.
